"Another great HDTV from sony at 1080p"
Pros: Picture in HD is excellent and Playing games is a dream.
Cons: Good picture, not Great picture quality when resolution is lower then 720p
Summary: The KDF-46E3000 has tons of picture adjustments to fine tune the TV which is a must when you watch movies then switch to playing video games. I noticed that when playing games and movies the picture is bright and the colors are accurate and solid, even during fast paced games like PGR4 or Spiderman 3. On the movie side if your watching movies in HD its awesome clear bright whites and dark darks and there is a special setting for that aswell on this tv to inhance those effects. My father in-law has a Samsung 61 DLP, he also got his this year as well (late 07), and I couldn't tell the differnce in picture quality. One thing I did notice is the light distrabution is much better on my LCD then his DLP when moving around and starring at the TV. He has what I would call "bright spots" when moving around vs mine where picture brightness stays even. As for watching HD sporting events its clear no trails or rainbow effects and the colors are bright and rich. I was really surpirsed by this TV's performance because I was gonna buy the 46 XBR4 and have tested that flat planel LCD TV at Bestbuy numerous times But after running this TV through its paces I'm happy with my choice. The real only con. is as i stated in my con section: when not in HD the picture is not great, but that could be due to the signal and not the actual TV. The only real beef I have with this TV, which is more of a personal want then anything is this TV does not have a computer direct connection hookup. If your looking for a Full 1080P HDTV with tons of Adjustments and settings and game modes and movie modes and great picture quality at a good price this is it. Hoped this helped you out. O yea the TVs weighing next to nothing.
