"great value in a 1080p 40 inch LCD"
Pros: crisp picture, natural/accurate colors, deep blacks

Summary: I've owned my Sony KDL 40v2500 for three weeks and been delighted with it.
Picture quality is excellent overall. Fine picture quality over standard def cable, excellent over standard DVD. The movies seem more vibrant and enjoyable! Colors are natural, with great flesh tones and deep blacks. I appreciate the flexible picture adjustments that let me fine tune the picture to my tastes and light conditions.
Sound is also very good for bottom mounted speakers.
I compared Sony, Sharp and Samsung and felt the Sony had more accurate color and better sound. It's slim profile fit my existing furniture as well...a plus! I'm very satisfied.
