"Nice picture until it went blank 4 months later"
Pros: Nice picture, Bad remote
Cons: Picture only lasted 4 months
Summary: My wife and I treated ourselves to a 20th anniversary present, a HD Plasma TV. We enjoyed it very much for 4 months then picture went blank. It has been at the Toshiba Warranty repair center for 5 weeks. The part is "backordered". With no word when the part will be in. This must mean that since so many TV's are breaking down that they ran out of parts. I have read other sites and it seems Toshiba has a problem with backordered parts. Five weeks and counting. Missed Chritmas and Football playoffs. Five weeks plus, unacceptable. Should have bought Panasonic as planned.

Same exact problem w/ same model in same time frame! in repair shop for 3 weeks before finally calling Toshiba again.Took 2 more weeks to be told that parts were 10 days coming, 2 weeks after that parts were nowhere in sight and Toshiba was going to replace TV. 2 weeks later we received TV. upon requesting an extended warranty for our inconvenience we were told "NO" and my husband was hung up on by a manager when he politely pressed for the warranty. We have lost faith in both product and service. We have requested a full refund. Stay tuned.
