"Toshiba earned their Better Business Bureau "F" rating."
Pros: Compact design, doubles as a clothes iron.
Cons: Runs hot, horrific customer service, mediocre battery life
Summary: I purchased my Tecra M3 about 6 months ago after deciding to go with a company other than Dell. From the get-go I should have known that I made a mistake. First, it took over a month to receive my custom built machine. For the most part everything was fine with my computer other than the fact that I can press a shirt with it after about 5 minutes of use.
Then I started having problems with my monitor (a 1" vertical black stripe running down the middle of it) about a month ago, so I called Toshiba to rectify the problem. When I purchased my computer I opted to pay for the next business day service knowing that I didn't want my computer to be out of commission for any extended period. I am still waiting for repairs. Now I might be crazy, but waiting a month doesn't seem like "Next Business Day" to me. Apparently the hold-up is due to a back order part that Toshiba manufactures which makes me wonder, if Toshiba is not making enough parts to keep up with demand thus delaying repairs, should they be selling a service that they can't provide? Sounds like fraud to me.
I guess their Better Business Bureau rating says it all(http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportPage_Expository.aspx?CompanyID=41153&hAKAID=1&hAddrID=1)
They earned every bit of their F rating.
