only 20 bucks, and worth about --- none --

Pros: cheap at least...

Cons: for me, worked much worse than plain rabbit ears

Review: I thought this would solve my HD problems of occasional signal dropouts, but it barely got any picture at all. The rabbit ears I took off my old standard TV worked much much better.

The Terk HDTVi is Better

Pros: Very inexpensive

Cons: Shoddy construction

Review: I picked one of these up after reading so my hype about it. I was using a Terk HDTVi which was pulling in low 60s for CBS, low 70s for Fox and mid 80s for PBS. The Silver Sensor was able to reproduce these numbers, but it was extremely sensitive to position. The Terk pulled those numbers in a number of positions, one of them being on its back facing straight up on the window sill so it's out of sight. The Terk also has much better build quality. I don't know why everyone knocks the Terk, but I think the HDTVi is pretty good (and worth a couple bucks more than the Silver Sensor).

Keep the Rabbit Ears!

Pros: Looks Cool. No Long Ears toe extend.

Cons: Weak to no reception.

Review: I bought this antenna to hopefully improve my HD reception. After reading the other reviews, I thought it would be an improvement. I currently use an amplified RCA antenna. The Silver sensor got no signal on most stations and poor to weak on others. The amplified antenna had a much stronger signal in the same situations. Plus now I find that Buy.com and Zenith will not accept returns on this item.

INCREDIBLE & YOU CAN BELIEVE IT

Pros: Retro styling and pulls in HDTV signals like you won't believe

Cons: None whatsoever

Review: This baby is every bit as good as the rave reviews, and then some. Cheap (as low as $18), great looking, and really pulls in the signals. I live in the city with obstructions all around and 40 miles to the only station in the area broadcasting in HDTV. Took a minute to set up, and using the new HUMAX terrestrial receiver (another great buy!), I got a 90+ signal strength with an unbelievably gorgeous HDTV picture than beats my Dish Network HDTV receiver hands down! Do not hesitate to purchase this sleek silver baby, it's worth far more than it's price!

Excellent -- picks up all HD channels with perfect reception

Pros: small, works great, inexpensive

Cons: do not see anything that could be better

Review: I bought this antenna since Comcast cable provides very little HDTV content in my area -- only ABC, Fox, and ESPN (plus PBS, sevral junk channels, and movie channels). With this indoor antenna, my Sony LCD projection TV now also gets NBC, CBS, WB, UPN (and several few others which I have no interest in). So this antenna meets my needs exactly. The HD reception is perfect. I live about 5 miles from the broadcast towers and have a straight shot to them.

Worked surprisingly well!

Pros: Small footprint, low tech, no power needed.

Cons: Too light, falls over easily.

Review: I helped Dad set up his new HDTV (SONY, 34XBR960). Unfortunately, his analog stations looked horrible and he wanted his old TV back. Having read the positive reviews here and on Amazon & AVS Forum, I figured I'd give the antenna a shot before suggesting cable or satellite HDTV. It came through like a champ. Dad lives up North of Phoenix, Arizona, 28 miles from the broadcast towers (according to antennaweb.org).

Assembly was quick and easy. Positioned the antenna at 176 degrees (Compass Orientation, again courtesy of antennaweb.org) and plugged the little bugger in. Needed to try a couple of positions in/& on top of the entertainment unit to find the sweet spot that brought all the local stations in. Tweaked the orientation a bit and now everything is crystal clear. Dad is thrilled with the picture and now feels his money was well spent on an HDTV. Would have rated it a 10, but the base is too light so the unit tips over easily. We set a rock on it for stability but you could upgrade to a nice brick.

This unit goes by a couple names. Zenith Silver Sensor or HDTV1 antenna. Also may be found under the Gemini brand name.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Pros: This little thing is amazing. I live in the sticks of CT (southeastern) and get all the following networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, UPN, WB, PBS plus some other out of state networks. Better yet I get all the major networks without having to move the anten

Cons: There are none.

Cons: None that I know of yet

This antenna works grrrrrrrreat!

Pros: You can use a long (In my case 25 foot coaxial RG6) and place the antenna in a higher place in your home. My entertainment room is half way underground so I needed to elevate the antenna a bit. It works down low as well, but decided to give it a fighting

Useless for HDTV Reception

Pros:

Cons: The set of 30 year old rabbit ears worked better for HD reception than this fancy setup. Too bad! :<

Buy a Signal Booster

Pros: Easy to set up. Small enough to place anywhere. Better Signal than my $100 antennae I used when I lived in the City a Year ago.

Cons: Takes a little tweaking. I bought a signal booster from Home Depot for $34. I live 30 miles outside a major city with lots of trees. With the signal booster, I get every HD Signal @ 100%. Without it, you may have to position the antennae for each station

Looks will fool you

Pros: Works better than any other antenna at four times the price. Gets 16 stations where Terk TV-55 got only 8 poorly.

Cons: None I'm aware of. I'm 12 miles from the towers and have a direct view, so I can't speak for mulitpath, or longer distances.
