My requirement was to keep top frame of external monitor at the same level as my eyes’. I also want to save space on my small work desk for Thinkpad along with Advance mini dock too. It came with foldable arm to mount VESA standard monitor with height adjustment. Material and build are very good & solid. I don’t know how big the screen you can mount on it, seem like the 19” is ok.
I changed my plan to go for LCD with fixed stand for iPod instead of those mountable models. So, that arm is folded flat, I put the cover on to place the monitor on top (I guess that’s why they call it convertible). Thinkpad T60 and Advance mini dock fit right under it.
The function of this stand is not rocket science, just fit the height and stacking requirement I want, nicely.
