"State of Iowa SW is defective for Married Filing sep."
Pros: Ease of use
Cons: The product finished both Federal and State returns for those married filing seperately with itemized deductions. The state completed and told me to pay in $200 when I should get a refund of $700.

"Beware only for straight filers..."
Pros: Imports prior year names and Social security numbers.
Cons: 1. Only for straight forward and simple cases.
2. Two states causes issues
3. Customer support very poor. Only delayed emails.
4. No phone support (will cost extra $20 per call)

"Not as easy to use as TurboTax nor as comprehensive"
Pros: Switched to Taxcut this year because I was angry Turbotax limited the number of returns you can prepare to one. Taxcut allows you to file more than one return. I do like that the worksheets can be viewed within the form or closed up.
Cons: It could not handle the Form 1116 which comes up with some K-1 schedules you may get. Turbotax does handle this. It's not as slick for handling these more complex forms.

Pros: Nothing - nada-zilch
Cons: Tax Cut did not clearly ask or explain what I was to enter, and their "help" windows are woefully inadequate.

Pros: Costs less than TurboTax
Cons: Form 1116 may be required if one invested in mutual funds invested in international equities. TaxCut was unable to complete the form without flagging errors. Could not move pass the errors. There were no problems when I switched to TurboTax.
