"Ok if You Have Never Used Quicken" on by treese6hotmail.com
Pros: Has alot of features
Cons: Very slow, Freezes, Not User Friendly
Summary: I tried to upgrade from Quicken 2002 Deluxe. My .qif file had over 3500 entries. Money would freeze and if it did not freeze it would really slow down. I worked with the program for two days and finally I had to send it back to Microsoft. I purchased Quicken 2007 and it was a breeze. If you like Quicken stick with it, but if you have never used anything else Money should be fine. Can't miss what you've never had.

"SLOW and annoying" on
Summary: Trying to create a budget is a nightmare. The program repeatedly hangs and there is no information on this problem on the microsoft website. Annoying

"Upgrade Hell!" on
Summary: I have been a mostly happy user of Money sinse Money 98. I upgraded to Money 2000 without to much problems, but the upgrade to 2002 is a total joke! The data file seems to have been converted correctly but all of the automatic bill and deposits mess up the buegeting features. I have had to delete loans, all bills and deposits and recreate the entries to make the budget almost work. I still have a few months where the budget values show differently on the reports and the budeting screens. Best of all, Microsoft wants you to pay a fee to report their bugs. I have not seen anything on their website about these issues, but they are very prevalent on in the newsgroups.

"INVOICE DESIGNER TERRIBLE" on
Summary: Invoice designer crashes everytime you try to customize an invoice or make a change. Negative entries are not allowed. Very poor quality for a Microsoft product.

"Very good with large number of transactions" on
Summary: If you have a large number (thousands) of transactions to download, Money is the only real choice. Quicken has far less efficient code; every time you make a small change, it performs a complete recalculation, taking 5 - 10 minutes, whereas Money waits until you're finished to recalculate. In addition, the Money code is simply more efficient. Buy Money, unless you're willing to spend many dozens of hours waiting for Quicken to finish calculating. The difference in speed is truly phenomenal!
