"fees apply"-rip-off scam
Pros: easy to use
Cons: excessive and hidden extra costs for e-filing

This may seem minor to some, but I consider this dishonest: To file online, you have to pay an extra $ 18. That is about 50% of the price for the product. The only warning on the box is "fees apply" in small print. Yes, you do have the option to print it out and to take it to the post office for no extra cost other than a stamp. But who on Earth who uses a computer would want to do that? (The postoffice also provides free tax forms, remember?) If you prefer to subtract this fee from your refund rather than providing your credit card number (makes sense, doesn't it?), surprise! Another fee! And you don't get a receipt for any of these "fees" for next year's taxes. Tax experts should know better. If you download the software rather than buying it at the store, this fee is apparently waived. How about a bit more transparency about the costs of your product? I used TurboTax online last year and found it to give very limited help and explanation (plus some issues with printing). In this sense, this version is a dramatic improvement. Nonetheless, no more Turbo for me, I had enough.
