Pros This was very easy to install. Put the CD in and was able to get on line through network in about 3 minutes. Router is on second floor. This wireless USB is in basement with lots of duct work. Connects at 54 mbps (sometimes). On line experience is on
Cons Nothing so far.
Pros Works with Mac, Panther 10.3.x & Tiger 10.4.x, 54Mbps 802.11g instead of the 11Mbps 802.11b internal Airport in my G4.
Cons Have needed to unplug and replug after each boot-up of computer for Mac to see it.
Summary This Belkin F5D7050 works on a Mac, but Belkin doesn't advertise it. See this site for information on use with the Mac and links to the drivers.
Pros stabe, fast connection after all
Cons hard time with setup
Summary Good thing they have 24/7 tech support! Had call them for setup help..found out it was a driver issue they even they could not figger out but i did on own!
Also seems to stay warm????
Pros Cannot determine
Cons Cannot recognize usb adapter.
Summary Software will install up to the insert adapter point, then after recognizing adapter, will not complete install. Tech support doesn't want to talk about Vista 64 install problems. The will find a way to drop your call.
Pros Easy to install and use. Just insert the device, allow Windows to detect the device and then manually install the wireless driver from D:\files\Drivers\XP2K folder.
Cons None. This wireless adapter works great.
Summary I'll definately keep this wireless USB adater in my toolkit. Don't bother with using their management utility. Instead just allow Windows to manage the wireless connection. Easy to use, does't lose the wireless signal and even works on the Mac platform. What more can you want for an inexpensive wireless USB adapter?
