"Awesome for home use"
4.0 starson by dwhuntleyPros: Works like a dream, little to no droped signals, aquires network quickly and holds that signal well.
Cons: First install and the card fried, returned for a new one and worked well
Summary: The only reason I give this an 8 and not a 9 is that the first card I bought fried on install, I returned it to Best Buy and got another. The second card works great. When coupled with the Linksys WRT54GX4 with SRX400, it is the best wireless system on the market. I have no dead zones in the house. I can use my laptop where ever I want to. It works as though I was wired into the network. I get signals that are above the average 75mbs in all areas of the home. In fact, I was able to go to my neighbors house and still get a 30% signal strength across the street. Not bad in my book.
I think the SRX400 technology is key to it's full potential so make sure your wireless router has SRX400 as well.
This card is a sound investment for anyone wanting the best in wireless. In my opinion wait until the pre-N cards work out all the kinks before upgrading to a full 802.11n wireless system. You know how new technology can be, and the 802.11n networks will be no different.
