"Be careful with this one and the Wii" on by subyfan1
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Tricky to work with at times
Summary: The adapter is amazingly easy to install and use. The problem is with my Wii it wouldn't stay connected. The initial connection was easy and fast but the downloads were so agonizingly slow that somehow the computer and the Wii would stop communicating and the Wii would freeze. You can buy some wireless routers for around 50 bucks now and I would recommend that for connecting the Wii to the broadband connection.

"big disappointment" on by castiboy
Pros: - Nintendo WiFi without needing a wireless router
Cons: - not worth the price
- gets really hot with just a few minutes of use
- finding vista compatible drivers took ages
- kept "killing" my internet connection on the PC it was connected to after 30 minutes of use, forcing me to reboot. had to uninstall.Summary: i don't know if you can still find these on stores nowadays, but i certainly hope it's not the case.
it was a terrible mistake to buy it, specially considering at the time i could have bought a game for that price. using it is tricky because of the lack of driver support, and because it affected my internet connection for mysterious reasons i never managed to understand.
the only reason to use it, is when your wireless router has a better security than WEP, in which case it won't work with DS games (even if DSi Ware will work fine).
but in the end i'm sure any third party alternative nowadays would be much more useful, probably cheaper, certainly with better performance, and hopefully not locked to only Nintendo products. -
"A horrible ripoff" on by nintendude7cubed
Pros: usb always a plus... comes with extention for better reception, secure registration software
Cons: slow!!! takes awhile to start blinking and allow acess, the price is not good. you could buy a regular router with even better reception for half the price...
Summary: I and even nintendo reccomends that you buy a regular router than this piece of junk! the usb is pretty cool so you don't have to go through the lan hassle which is good. but then you got this clunky version of a jump drive sticking out of your computer just waiting to be accidentally bent in half. After like 6 months, my wifi connector suddenly began to stop working. first id be suring web on my ds and suddenly it would pop up saying i didn't have reception. then i look.. Sure enough my stupid connector was plugged in and not blinking. So i reset the computer and plugged back in and it worked, no biggy, but then sure enough, it does it again except sooner. its like it was gradually burning out. after repeatedly unplugging and plugging back in, it soon would do absolutely nothing when plugged in! I looked at the usb driver since it apparently detected the connector with errors. So i mistakenly followed microsofts troubleshooter which told me to uninstall the driver and install it again... so i tried and when the installer told me to plug in my connecter, it wouldn't get a signal so it didn't install the driver. So end of story, i trash this junk and buy a belkin router 2 months later for 24 dollars (no lie) and it has so much better reception and never fails and stays on 24/7 without failing! and my sister can use her laptop to get internet too... bottom line. Don't buy this!!!
