"excellent as a spare"
Pros: cheap, functional
Cons: shared key visible in software
Summary: reception/range was worse then my built in on my newish laptop at home, but is still functional. the extension cable helps, a longer one would be better. Works fine for those must have wireless times when you travel with an older notebook.
Not **starring** out the key in wpa-psk is a problem if you want to use as a business solution but for the average person looking to add wireless capability to an aging laptop you cant beat the price. There seem to be issues when leaving it plugged in and rebooting the pc, you need to unplug/plug in sometimes, so I wouldnt use it as a primary but to keep in the ole notebook bag as a backup its perfect
