"installation on Windows ME abysmal"

Pros price sounded goog

Cons installation, even for 10-year computer expert was horrible

Summary tried installing on my Sony Vaio PCG-R505TL for several hours, but all to no avail. Installation couldn't find the driver anywhere on the system. Downloaded latest driver .zip but that had same problems -- failed to complete the installation. Waiting for email support reply. May have to ditch this and go with something else.
