"Symantec has finally lost me as a customer."0.5 starson by wwheeler1
Pros: None that I can think of
Cons: If it's like NIS 2005, it's a resource hog that doesn't do its job
Summary: After spending many years supporting Symantec/Norton Antivirus and utilities and reccomending them to my customers, I have finally had enough.
The last straw was a series of uninstall-reinstall-experience the same problem-repeat that I have been through 7 times since I bought NIS 2005 in November of last year. It was caused in EVERY instance by a faulty update from Symantec that broke their crappy product, which can't even repair itself without a complete removal, registry scrub and reinstall.
I have given up my addiction to their expensive, blaoted packages of software that claim to have everything, and do but only in half-measures.
I now use a copy of CA EZ-Armor that is supplied by my ISP that includes a stable, robust firewall and antivirus as well as anti-spyware components that work without breaking everything else, including my MS Outlook (hey, I like the calendar).
Good bye, Symantec. Call me when you get a clue.
