"THE audio program for anyone"
on by dustino71Pros Excellent quality, and interface
Cons Difficult to learn for absolute beginners
Summary I am an actual Radio producer who uses this software and has used an extensive list of other audio applications in the past, so I really do know what I am talking about and this is BY FAR the best program out there. ProTools for Mac is close but Adobe is much better. The sound quality is far superior to any other program, so is the ability to edit, mix and record audio. Other programs are very limiting to what you can do with a particular piece of audio, while this enables you to put your best and most creative ideas into a radio spot for example (or whatever else)

"Perfect! Great! Spectacular!"
on by liam12360Pros Good effects, easy to use, great audio!

"An absolute MUST"
on by toddmitchellPros If computer crashes with stuff in Audition - say, when using a DIFFERENT app - files are saved and can be restored easily
Cons App itself seldom crashes
Summary I insisted on this for my new studio after using its predecessor, Cool Edit Pro, for years. 1.5 is a worthwhile step up (unless, you're using Pong - er, Win98).

"Professional Recordings for a Fraction of the Cost and Knowhow"
on by 219777Pros Flexibilty, Features, Graphics, Interface, Many audio and video Formats
Cons Stock Effects Suite is subpar....look to Waves or similar VST Plugin
Summary Adobe Audition 1.5 is the Syntrillium "Cool Edit" all grown up. With a host of features from Waveform Editing to Multitrack Recording Adobe handles all of it's task with speed and precision. The new features include built in CD Burning and Video editing which make this platform even more powerful. Save as wav, mp4, WMA, or a variety of other formats. Add effects and use other helpful audio tools (normalization, noise reduction, compression). As a Church Choir director I'm able to record our services and edit down to streaming media to later publish on the internet. Beware of user opinions here trust the CNET ratings. You will not be disappointed!
