"Just bought my second - most miss the reason for the high cost"

    on January 2, 2005

Pros: The new Bose wave meets "all" of the claims the fortune in advertising claims. I bought my first two months ago, and went to the Bose store yesterday to pick up a second Bose for a different room. A few weeks ago I also purchased a Boston Recepter for t

Cons: I would have liked to see more FM presets. It would also have been nice to have the the alarm off button on the remote somehow made easier to find (feel) in the dark.

Bose is a good radio and makes a good impression in your home. Much of the hype is to get the Bose name.

Did I know there were other high-end radio/CD players that could make the Bose pale in comparison? Nope.

My eyes were opened to Polk, Tivoli, and Boston Accoustics. We've tried all three and decided the best sounding was the Tivoli.

The difference in sound is like night and day. Bose, many say, has a very deep bass. This is true - with no way to adjust it.

For instance, when a relaxation CD with chimes was played on the Bose, I didn't notice them. The same CD played on the Tivoli made me think my windchimes were in the same room as me!

The Bose company has done an A+ job in marketing though. I say "radio", you naturally say "Bose". That reply might not be the best in the long run. Know what I'm saying?

If you have moved up from a clock radio then I suppose you think this is great.
This is a piece of overpriced Bose Crap and if it sold for $50.00 I still wouldn?t buy it as you can get a better system in a garage sale. I guess if size and the Bose name is more important than the actual sound reproduction go for it.
I wouldn?t even put this in my garage
