Just watched my first movie after hooking up my Denon S-102 and was amazed how much better it sounded than my previous 2.1 system. I did own a Kef Kit 100 (now the 120} but after 1 year it froze up and could not be repaired, so I have been searching for two months for a worthy replacement. I liked the Kef and would have given it a user rating of 8. I thought it had a very good surround sound and I paid around $1300.00 with stands. But now I am so glad I went with the S-102 because the sound was much more full and crisp. The sub woofer sounded better and smoother. There is also plenty of power at 35 watts per side and 75 watts for the sub to fill a large room. This unit also upscaling to 1080i and I could tell right away that the picture was more clear than before. I paid around $1350.00 for the total system. I used Cruthfield for the S-102 and Onecall for the stands(model # ASF-S07) I was very happy with both. For some reason Cruthfield does not carry the stands. I hope this is some help because I had trouble finding any decent reviews on this system.
