Consistent with Nakamichi's design and engineering philosophy, the SoundSpace 3 Stereo Music System offers outstanding sound quality, stylish good looks as well as an abundance of useful features. Perfect wherever full-sized audio components are not, the diminutive SoundSpace 3 is the ideal choice for music in the office, bedroom, workshop, kitchen or den. By delivering high-fidelity music through a full-frequency range 3-piece speaker system, coupled with an alarm clock and remote control, the SoundSpace 3 provides unprecedented flexibility in the way it can be used to enhance your life. The SoundSpace 3 consists of three separate identically sized chassis, each with its own unique and special function. The main unit houses the CD player, AM/FM tuner, a high-performance speaker drive unit, a clock display and all necessary control function buttons. All frequently used controls are easily accessible on the unit's top panel. The companion unit provides another speaker drive unit for stereophonic reproduction, the system's power amplifiers, a clock display and alarm "snooze bar". The third enclosure contains a subwoofer speaker that augments the main and companion units' speakers with extra "punch" and "depth" for the widest frequency response and dynamic range possible. Using the supplied keyhole cutout on its bottom plate, the subwoofer can even be wall-mounted and concealed from sight. Even bass, treble and loudness contour are provided to enable you to correct for acoustic abnormalities, or adjust for personal taste! By optimizing the SoundSpace 3's speaker drive units, power amplification and enclosure, Nakamichi engineers were able to develop what has to be one of the most unique satellite / subwoofer speaker arrangements ever. Especially considering the SoundSpace 3's small size, this three-way system delivers an unprecedented level of room-filling musical fidelity, dynamic range and stereo imaging. Designed with user-friendliness in mind, the SoundSpace 3 is just as much a joy to use, as it is to listen to! The high-performance quartz synthesis tuner assures precise and stable drift-free radio broadcast reception. 20 FM and 10 AM radio station presets with tuning options such as seek and preset scan make for efficient and convenient radio operation. A supplied IR-type micro-remote control enables the operation of all SoundSpace 3's important features and functions from a substantial distance. A large, legible fluorescent clock display automatically adjusts for contrasting brightness depending on the room's ambient lighting conditions. The SoundSpace 3 provides two independently programmable alarms with a 5-second ramp-up in volume to make waking up just a little more pleasant! This system is supplied with an AC adaptor.
