Sony MHC-GX450 (mini system)

We bought this stereo for our son for Christmas-two months later speakers do not work(muffled). Tried on line help, tried customer service help(stay on hold for over an hour!)-they wanted us to pay to send it to their service center. We took it back to store and they gave us a new one. We called Sony and purchased an extended warranty. Within a few months the cassette deck wouldn't open (son uses cd's, but it still broke)-Went thru Sony's horrendous cutomer service and found a local (30 miles away) service cneter and brought it to them. Six months later, I still do not have a stereo. Scott their national customer service manager was rude and unhelpful. Needless to say we are still trying to get our sons stereo back. BEWARE-Do Not Purchase from Sony if you hate customer service nightmares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this system for my birthday about 3 years ago (i think it might even be 4 or 5), nonetheless it has taken allot of abuse and it still has yet to have one problem. This system looks very cool (even better than the current 2007 model IMO) and can produce a loud quality signal.

My only problem with this system is that its game inputs are on the front, this bothers me because it makes my desk look cluttered. Aside from that minor issue however this system has withstood the test of time and will hopefully enjoy many more years of abuse
