"Good Features, Great Value"
Pros: HDMI input, sound and picture
Cons: Very hard to find
Summary: I got my Samsung HT-TQ85 about a month ago, motivated for the HDMI-input, since it is a great add on that will help you to keep the system for a longer time as different high definitions sources become available. The audio quality is great, but yes, you will need to adjust some settings, because the factory ones are terrible. The manual is useless. I had to increase the volume of my rear speaker to the Max., although my entertainment room is small. Also try increasing the volume of the center speaker and subwoofer. The front speakers sound good as they come out of the box. Done this, the audio quality I obtained was way better compared with my other HTIB system (Panasonic SC-HT940, now working on a different room). The Upscaling feature works perfectly. The Receiver is BIG, but won't over heat even if you crank the volume. The USB port... well, I try to connect my I-pod and Zune to it, and it just won't work. I am sure it will work with Play for sure devices, but I was able to connect my Digital Camera. Any way, you can use the other two additional co-axial inputs to make your AUDIO connections. I read users opinion complaining about issues with the system but they do not give any detail about what happened. Mine... started to give problems with the image (like if you where playing scratched DVD's), what I realized right away was a problem with my HDMI cable, when I replaced it with another one I had handy. So far it is been an excellent purchase and even better, I got it Brand New for $389.00 from COSTCO. Believe it... good information, because is hard to find.
I promise I will Update my review if any different comes by.

I just set up my htib and when i do a test setup, all the speakers work. But when I turn to my cable channel and hook up aux 1 to it, only front speakers would work. And on display screen, it only shows picture of front speakers being hooked up. (center and rear speakers are not lit up). What is the problem and what can fix this problem? Anyone got any ideas???
