"Easiest way to put computer content on the big screen!"4.5 starson by robbyhead
Pros: Software installation and setup very easy ... Passed my "setup without looking at the manual" test! ... sends video, audio, pictures & slideshows, Google & Bing maps with various views, Power Point, anything ... one unit works with multiple comput
Cons: The USB dongle seems a little flimsy. (but it is a 1st generation unit)
Summary: I may want to update this when I've tried it on other TV's with different connections. I can't complain about anything so far. My laptop is way under the specs that VeeBeam set as minimums and it still works well. HD Video is sometimes not as smooth as I would like (1080 & 720) on my laptop but the same content plays perfectly on my wife's which is still a little short of the minimums. One of my friends came to my house over the holidays who has purchased several of the recently released set top boxes and said that he probably would have been satisfied with just the VeeBeam. I'd still like to compare the experience with using a media center PC which I don't have. For now, I'd call this the current "quick & dirty" way to put what's on the computer you already have on your TV. At the very least, your friends will think you're cool!
