Kanex XD

Pros: 1. Unit allows you to use your iMac as a display for HDMI outputted devices. Works great...when it works! 2. No lag when using the device with a game console.

Cons: 1. Unit failed after 2 days. 2. The process to connect your HDMI device with your iMac is annoying. 3. No phone number to directly reach Kanex tech support. 4. Some images/text aren't as clear - displays more pixels compared with stand alone TV.

Summary: When you follow the directions on how to connect your devices, it works very well. But based on my usage, failure after the 2nd day may point to a design issue. The issue with some images and text displaying more pixels than a standard TV/monitor may not be acceptable to some users.
