Summary DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE, its a waste of money if you're thinking that it's got better quality than the component cable. If you're just trying to use it on your computer monitor, then, buy it off of eBay, same thing, lower price. but, if you're like me and you believed Microsoft when they implied that it has better quality, IT DOESN'T. I have an HDTV and i use me 360 on that, and i wanted to milk my 360 for all that it's worth when it comes to video quality, so i bought this cable off of eBay for a lower price than the 39.99 that it's "worth", AND IT SUCKS, the image is VERY washed out and it's just a waste of money, again.

Pros 1.Upconverts DvD's to HD. 2.Better picture than 360 Component cables. 3.Leaves a Component option on TV open. 4.If no HDTV in house, use for computer monitor. 5.1080P from HD-DVD player add-on

Cons 1. Not everyone has VGA on HDTV. 2. Not everyone's HDTV is compatible for full picture w/o black bars. 3. Had to wait for Xbox Live updates for correct Black level.

Summary First off a friend gave me these cable's because his Mitsubishi DLP was not compatible with VGA cable to fill whole screen, so I am not sure if I would have spent $40 for these w/o knowing what they would do for me.

When I first put the VGA cable on the picture did not fit correctly, but with a little adjustment on my Samsung DLP and on XBOX360 resolution choices, I was good to go... until I played GEARS of WAR the black level was off. Anyways there was an update and on the XBOX360 resolution selections you can fix this now. Now the picture is even better than the Component option.

As for DVD playing it works sooooo nice. My own DVD upconverter now, and for free.. well $40 for the rest lol

I mostly use all the connection on the TV becuase I like direct connection to the tv, I feel it should give me a better picture. Anways now I have an open component spot on my tv for Wii+another option.

As for VGA this gives me and option to use on my computer monitor which I have not done yet, since I do have a HDTV 50', but I suppose if I was ever getting it fixed I have and option to still use the XBOX360.

If your Tv is 50' or bigger and does not accept 1080P through component then this would be a perfect option for your HD-DVD add on player.

As a conclusion for myself, XBOX360 VGA cables are exactly for me and my Samsung DLP.

Pros hd on my computer monitor for only $40

Cons can be somewhat tricky to format at first

Summary This product is great. I now have hd 360 on my crt computer monitor. And yes, it looks better on a crt than a lcd monitor.
