    Pros: Great set of features
Smooth and intuitive GUI and setup
    Connectivity options

Cons: Poor sound quality for the money
    Cheaply built

Summary: I have been a loyal Denon customer for more than a decade until I got to try this product.
Although packed with features and very user friendly, the box does not do well the main thing - play clear sound.
My 10 years old Denon receiver sounds much better due to the overall higher quality design.
It also weighs 10-15 lb more due to the high quality power transformer, storage capacitors and other components.
I got an impression that Denon is abandoning design philosophy that served them so well in the past.

Also being a denon costumer for years i think different about this denon, image quality in 3d is fantastic and also the sound over hdmi is really good i admit that it may not have the same build quality and weights less then older models but to say it feels and looks cheap is not true.
I think it has by far the best sound of similar other ones on the market today and still keep that warm sound denon is famous for

Sad. I've had an AVR-1000 for decades, and the only reason I've been looking to upgrade is because it lacks support for HDMI and other "new tech" amenities. I've never had ANY problems, and it still sounds great after all these years. What's up with Denon? I've seen other disparaging reports on their newer models, although I must admit there have also been some great reviews. I guess I'll keep monitoring the market. Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find AVRs with phono inputs.
