"awesome is all I can say"
Pros: more features than you can shake a stick at, great build, crisp, clean sound
Cons: same as everyone...the initial setup and remote can be tricky
Summary: I have had this receiver since mid February and once I heard it in my home, my jaw dropped. I paired it up with the Kef 2005.2 "eggs" and I was astonished. Most will probably think that the 3805 is a bit overkill for those speakers, but I don't have all that much space. I also wanted a receiver that would grow with my home theater. It took me a couple of hours to even get sound or video out of the thing, but once I did, the setup wasn't too bad. I connected all of my components with Monster Ultra THX 1000 cables. I think my system rivals some of the local movie theaters for sound. The 3805 has a ton of features, some of which I'll probably never use, but once you hear it, you'll be happy that you spent the extra dough. Spend a little time learning the remote and it's functionality will be as cool as it looks. Video upconversion is pretty standard on the higher end receivers these days, but it's nice to run one set of component cables to the TV and have everything from the satellite box, dvd player, and vcr work without a bunch of switching around. This is my first Denon product and I'm so happy I plan to purchase one of their denon link compatible DVD players this fall. Hopefully blue-ray comes soon!
