"HK AVR's have finally arrived"
Pros: The AVR 254 & 354 includes a full complement of Dolby® and DTS® decoding technologies, HDMI repeater capability, Faroudja DCDi Cinema® processing, EzSet/EQ make much more user friendly
Cons: Cost is around $500.00 and only has 3 HDMI in and 1 Out while Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, and Sony have 4 to 1.
Summary: I have owned an Onkyo and Harmon Kardon and in the past and have always preferred the performance of Onkyo due to the ease of use but nothing I have owned has been great until now. I recently purchased the Harmon Kardon 254 and it is light years better than the previous Harmon Kardon AVR's. It is the best purchase I have made for my Home Theater system yet. I have a 50" Pioneer Kuro, Sony PS3 (BluRay for true 1080p) with my new Harmon Kardon 254 and Polk Audio speaker system and the picture and sound are the best its been and probably will be with my budget. I love it and recommend it.

I agree completely with your review. I recently bought the 254 and am very pleased with it. The sound is excellent, and the setup was very easy. It works flawlessly with my PS3 and Olevia HDTV.

Hello,
When will a full review of the AVR 254 be completed? I am interested in purchasing the HK 254, Onkyo 606, or Yamaha 663 for my next receiver. Thanks.
