"Does both A/V extremely well"
Pros: Excellent video Up-Conversion, myriad of connection options, great sound, wealth of features
Cons: Doesn't do windows.
Summary: The main reason I upgraded to this unit was for the up-conversion of analog and s-video to component and was not disappointed. I am using it with a 42" Plasma HDTV and it works great. Not as good as the off-air HD picture, but a great improvement of DirecTV's DVR which only has s-video. The sound is excellent from all sources: TV, Satellite, PC, DVD and even a VCR and tape player. Don't let the 55 Watt power rating fool you - I replaced a 100 Watt Sony and the HK put it to shame. Setup is easy and does a good job of setting speakers. I gave it a 10 because it would be hard to get more bang for your bucks than with this receiver - for a change you get more than you pay for.
