"Great performance for a great price" on by chanjumar
Pros: Sound quality is excellent. Set up incredibly easy. Nice range of inputs. 3 HMDI in and 1 HDMI Out. The Audyssey 2EQ speaker calibration is terrific
Cons: HDMI does NOT support sound input, you need an alternate digitial sound. Does NOT upconvert video signals, so if you are connecting a HDMI a Component and a RCA you need 3 separate outs. You cannot change display names of each device.

"very good quality the sound is excellant" on by jkelley9
Pros: Good sound, easy to use controls and very sensitive remote volume control
Cons: Has no phonograph input this really came as a shock to me. Now I have to spent $150 for a pre-amp
Summary: led display is easy to read form my easy chair. the remote will do most anything without my getting up from my chair.

"Very Nice Home Theater Receiver at a Great Low Price!" on by Dj_Shawn
Pros: Easy setup and very easy to use. Great bang for the buck! Sound is clean, clear and LOUD! Wonderful sound processing!
Cons: HDMI audio is "pass through" only to the TV speakers! You will need Optical or SPDIF lines for digital audio from each device. No extra back power outlet plugs on the back.
Summary: Sound is crystal clear and clean even at extremely high volumes. A second set of left and right zone outputs for adding extra speakers around the house or in my case outside pool speakers that are assigned to Speakers "B" so no need for a second amp or receiver for adding additional zones etc.. The digital processing is extremely clean! A front 1/8" stereo AUX jack input for easily plugging in your IPod, IPhone, or any small MP3 player or device. Works great with any Harmony remote if you have one but the standard remote is very well layed out and easy to use as well. The built in sleep timer is very handy! GREAT QUALITY RECEIVER :)

"A well-designed interface, and clear sound. Nice." on by skellynz
Pros: Audio quality for playing music overall is very high - very detailed and spacious - I'm very surprised given the price of this receiver. The setup is extremely easy, the remote is excellent. All the buttons and menu options are intuitive and sensible
Cons: Compressed Audio Enhancer doesn't improve MP3s as much as I hoped. I detected a tiny bit of static creeping in at high frequencies when using DTS mode to playing MP3s. (though still figuring out if this is a cable issue).
Summary: Compared to similar Yamaha, Pioneer and Sony models in the low end price range (Ive used all brands), I like the Onkyo a tiny bit more. Audio quality is high, and the inteface/setup is fantastic . Connectivity options are good (no 1080p upscale or HD Blu-ray audio), but it's not likely you'll need those if you buy a decent bluray player (with built in HD Audio decoder) and the way things are going (3D tv, etc) the latest standards will likely change in 2 years anyway! AV Receivers are becoming expendable! So, buy cheap and frequently. Fortunately you don't have to sacrifice quality in the process, with this Onkyo TX-SR-307.
