Summary: Bought it from ShopOnkyo.com and got a great deal on it. I set up a 7.1 system in my house, so I needed to replace my old Technics 5.1 receiver. This receiver more than exceeded my expectations. Some of the settings might be too complex for the average user, but if you know what you're doing, you'll find this Onkyo receiver to be a great deal.

Pros: Easy - don't need HDMI or HDMI pass through if you have HDMI on TV
Cons: Trying to find some - not yet
Summary: Almost bought a $1,000 system because I thought I needed HDMI. Discovered that I could connect HDMI direct from my Cable box and DVD player to my Sony XBR3 and Optical from both to the reciever. Works great and I saved $700.
