"Has many of the same features as higher end models"
Pros
The TX-SR507 has many of the same features of the more expensive models for a fraction of the price (four 1080p capable HDMI inputs and TrueHD/DTS-HD decoding).
Cons
The front panel and volume control are made of plastic which is understandable for an A/V receiver at this price point. Not a big deal...

I've never owned a A/V receiver before so I tried to do my homework before I made a purchase. The TX-SR507 has many of the same features of the more expensive models for a fraction of the price (four 1080p capable HDMI inputs and TrueHD/DTS-HD decoding). I pre-ordered it from Crutchfield and got it for $279.00 with free shipping, so the price was right too. I've paired it up with Polk Audio RM75's and a Polk Audio PSW111 sub. I'm extremely pleased with the results. I use it mostly for gaming with my PS3 and watching Blu-ray movies. The Audyssey Auto Speaker Calibration with the included mic made set up a breeze. I doubt that you could find a better A/V receiver for the price.
