"Great value for the money"
Pros: Assignable inputs, good power, solid build
Cons: Quirky surround management settings, manual unclear in some respects
Summary: Bought my first Pioneer receiver more than 30 years ago and I'm pleased to see that the company has stuck with its core product line approach. 40 pounds of every imaginable input and output for an HDTV + audio setup. Very quiet amp. The front end gets a little flashy with all the indicators on, but you can them off if you prefer. HDMI ins are for video only. Makes sense. Why have audio passthru if you have a 770 watt receiver and speakers sitting there. Instructions with respect to remote programming are somewhat nebulous and the surround management settings are a little quirky. Nits aside, a great buy.
