Review:
On the Circuit City website, there are reviews of customers who bought this unit. Most seemed to be extremely satisfied with the unit.I had a physical observation of the receiver. To me it seemed "cheap" in comparison to the Sherwood 6095R that I own and two other Sherwoods sold at Circuit City. The Pioneer however has all the features one could desire in such a reasonably priced unit. If you find one for a good price, the best thing to do is take it home, hook it up and see for yourself. The lowest price I saw it for was when I drifted into a local Circuit City store a week ago where they had it for a one day special at about $120. This might be a good receiver if you happen to be driving floorstanding left and right speakers that have large woofers. This receiver and the other Pioneers in this group have a loudness control which could be very advantageous in playing those type of speakers. I have rated it a 6-good for the features that this unit offers, but since I do not own the unit, I cannot rate it for sound quality.
