Built on the same chassis as its upscale siblings, the R-8500 and the R-7500, the RD-6105 is a perfect starter receiver for surround sound enthusiasts on a budget. A thoroughly modern design, the 6105 has built in decoders for DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II. The DPL-II is even fully adjustable. With five 100 watts, discrete amplifiers on board, it has enough power to achieve reference levels in a typical home environment. And unlike other models currently on the market, the RD-6105 is quiet, even in the surround channels, so hiss will not intrude on your listening experience.
