"This receiver will by far keep up with todays demand of audio and video inputs for yrs to come."4.5 starson by jphillips63
Pros: 6 HDMI hookups plenty of RCA hookups
Cons: needs plenty of space to get air
Summary: I have the updated receiver and have not one problem with Direc TV HD audio or picture. The remote is confusing and takes time to learn but if you're patient and read the instructions a few times it's not bad at all to navigate.
I did find the auto room calibration to be somewhat finicky on the direction you plae it to calibrate. It took several tries but once I figured out it needed to run parrallel with the speakers all was good after that.
I can't comment on radio stations as my main purpose for the receiver was for Home Theater. With 6 HDMI inputs I can't see ever running out of space for add on components. Currently it's only got 2 inputs used that being the PS3 and my Direc TV HD receiver.
I'm by far no techo person so in saying that if I can set this system up anyone can.
In final note if you are considering this receiver for your HT don't hesitate as some has had there issues the new updated models are free and clear of those. Take your time and read the manual and give it room to get air. Also make note on the auto room calibration mic be sure it runs parallel to your speakers in the room if not it will give you an error as speakers are not wired correctly.
Thats all I ahve to say I really don't have anything bad to say about this unit. as it'll be around until the next Generation of audio and video components are designed and on the markt.
