Pros: 1080p support
Cons: no lpcm 5.1 uncompressed audio
Summary: This unit does everything it says it does except process pcm 5.1 uncompressed audio. I was hoping to use this with my PS3 and bluray movies to get 5.1 pcm but it was too good to be true for $300.

The PS3 already processes PCM 5.1 and Dolby HD....Even though the receiver doesn't display it, you are getting 5.1 PCM

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking at this unit for - the LPCM tracks on BD discs.<br><br>What genius at Sony decided to put out a model that claims to get up to 8 channels of audio from HDMI but not make it compatible with the PS3 / LPCM on BD disks.<br><br>I guess the ones that want to force you to buy a more expensive mode.
