"Great Sound but amp is missing many features"
Pros: SOUND is fabulous. Any HDMI component works easily.
Cons: Not 1080p upscaling; therefore, you cannot connect older components INTO the amp and then feed through the single HDMI output...(WHY HAVE COMPONENT INPUTS ON THE AMP??); does not allow my current wireless speakers (on the deck) to be connected .

"Good sound and features for price"
Pros: 4 HDMI inputs, 7 Channel Output, Flexibility in naming inputs, Auto Calibration works well and supports multiple positions.
Cons: No upconversion of analog (or HDMI), no equalizer, most options are nested so not straightforward to change, remote control is clunky

"NOT worth the money at any price!"
Pros: Connectivity options are great
Cons: The system is absolutely dismal in ease of setup. I had a problem with one speaker and it continually shut down with PROTECTOR flashing. Contact SONY was no help at all. Told me to take it back. I went with Denon. DEFINITELY a better receiver!
