"ideal receiver for "champagne tastes on a beer budget"" By johnnyyama

Pros: great sound from a receiver with more than enough features to choose from, for watching SD or HD movies/TV, or listening to music CD's

Cons: the receiver is not "plug & play" and requires some time & patience for setup - perhaps a university degree to understand the manual which seems to have been extracted from a PhD thesis in electronics

Summary: This review loses one star for the manual. ( But in fairness, how does one describe in simple terms the features of such a complex machine?) "Very clean sound. Excellent channel separation. Many input options including 3 HDMI connections." By thayes8334

Cons: Challenging manual. Difficult to understand speaker connection options. Error code in auto-speaker setup not explained in manual.

Plenty of inputs -- enough for turntable, tape deck, cd player, DVD player, DVD/VCR combo, and satellite receiver/DVR. Very good value ... Expand full review
