"Amazing Receiver"
Pros: Plenty of power and inputs. Fabulous sound.
Cons: A little difficult to understand all aspects of the user manual.
Summary: Rated this a 10 based on meeting MY needs. This receiver is amazing. Driving 2 NHT VT-2 speakers bi-amped and 3 NHT super-one speakers for center and surround. Also attached a Samsung FP-T6374 Hi-def Plazma, Sony DVD player(waiting for the Samsung BD-UP5000) and a TiVo series 3 Hi-def DVR, all(except the DVD player) with HDMI. Unbelievable performance.
Updated on Sep 17, 2008I have since upgraded my center speaker to a NHT Classic three center, the surround speakers to NHT Classic three bookshelf and have added the Samsung BD-UP5000 with the firmware update, a 160 gig Apple TV, A Yamaha DVD-C961 Changer and the XM attachment to the RX-V1800. I have also upgraded my speaker cables to Blue Jeans 10AWG wire with Banana plugs. The RX-V1800 is the nerve center and does an awesome job. Extremely happy with this purchase.
