"Good value IF you like the "Yamaha" sound"
Pros: All the bells and whistles, very fast bass response and HD tuner gives a run for the money to the Denon AVR 2809ci and makes it a decent value
Cons: In direct mode A/B comparisons the sound is the distinct Yamaha "hi-fish" sound the whole line shares. A thin upper mid, missing on mids to lower mids makes the treble seem clearer and more extended -it's not and it definitely lacks on "palpabilty".
