Best cordless phones - DECT cordless phones (Updated August 31, 2012 4:12 AM PDT)
Here at CNET we're gradually expanding our coverage of cordless phones, with reviews of the popular models from key cordless phone manufacturers. One note: As the industry shifts almost exclusively to DECT 6.0 technology, we are only reviewing DECT 6.0 models. DECT 6.0 phones operate in the 1.9 GHz range and are designed not to interfere with other electronics in your home, such as microwaves, Wi-Fi networks, and baby monitors. They're also supposed to offer extended range (up to around 200 feet), though distance will vary according to obstacles and the material in your walls.
