Cars excite serious passion, almost all of it completely irrational. I know that any time I criticize a car, I'll hear from plenty of its supporters. When I review a car, I try to keep my judgments balanced by other cars I've driven. But I've got my own automotive passions, too. I favor nimble, quick cars over lumbering behemoths. 2011 BMW M3 Coupe

Performance technology makes the 2011 BMW M3 Coupe a thoroughbred performer, yet it can be optioned with plenty of cabin gadgets. Poor fuel economy limits its daily utility, but we still give the M3 an Editors' Choice Award.

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe
