"Disappointing performance and you don't even get dinner"
Pros: What I liked was the cost and the digital audio output jacks and well as it seems to have loads of features such as Digital TrueHD, DTS-HD and PIP.
Cons: No 2.0 USB port like store advertisement said. Crappy at switching from 1st layer to 2nd layer on dual layer discs. If you don't select something it exits the setup menu after like 5 secs, makes start over. BD profile 1.1 requires an SD card.

Pros: Front slot for SD card. Acceptable, though not great, video quality in most modes including upconverted standard DVDs. Cheap for a Blu-ray player, but no longer in Best Buy's line up.
Cons: Slow, slow, slow loading when it comes to BDs. Dorky 1980s front-panel styling. No firmware updates available to resolve bugs. Marginal support from Insignia; none from manufacturer Funai.

Pros: Picture was fine.
Cons: Incredibly slow response from menu to menu and loading in general -- just hitting "open" takes 5-10 seconds. Picture blinks often -- using HDMI -- and freezes necesitating restart. Player BROKE after 5 months: unable to read any discs.
