"The only single box that can play HD-DVD + Blu-Ray"
Pros: Great picture, reasonable speed.
Cons: No interactive features on HD-DVD; on some discs, they're completely inaccessible. Doesn't work with many HDMI switching receivers; must plug HDMI directly to TV and route sound separately

"Misrepresented by Best Buy as fully capable for both Blu Ray and HD DVD with no menu limitations"
Pros: Plays both but not ready for prime time-limited menus and firmware upgrades that take it back to worse than before
