Summary: This replaces our Sharp Blu Ray player that we got for free with our tv. If the Sharp was not free, it would have been returned long ago. This player is leaps and bounds above the Sharp, simply because it plays all of the discs I throw at it so far, it upgrades the firmware over the ethernet connection, and it has many options to take advantage of being connected to the internet like netflix and pandora.
My old blu ray player would not do any of the above, so this LG was a breath of fresh air for sure!
