Pros Nice user interface
Cons Frequent skips or stops during playback of BluRay discs.
Despite 2 firmware updates, the WiFi could not connect to a powerful signal.
Countless calls to tech support & customer service resulted in me throwing the unit into the street to be run over,
Summary If I payed myself minimum wage, with the time I spent with deplorable customer service, I could have paid for the damn thing!
I will NEVER buy another Panasonic product. EVER!
Pros Err, err uhm eh hmm oh it comes with a plug and the box looked nice!
Cons Well just about everything, impossible to setting up the network drive facility, dlna streaming is awful for films.
Summary After a week of trying to set this up to play through a network drive because this hunk of junk will not send decent quality over dlna, I eventually snapped and bounced this junk off my floor repeatedly. I have never before felt fury like it and hope to never again. Because of this player I will not have blu ray in my house EVER!
If you have a computer science degree and hang around with Stephen Hawkings by all means this may be the player for you, if like me your just an average family man putting together a home cinema system STEER WELL CLEAR or go back to dvd as this player made me do!
Possibly the release of over a weeks frustrations including at least 15 e-mails to panasonic (which were never answered) and trawling the internet for answers may have actually been worth the £180 I paid the relief of flinging this junk in the bin was absolutely fantastic!
It was actually the 310 I bought but they are both the same apart from the extra hdmi port.
Do Oxfam a favour donate your cash to them!
Pros Easy set up. Found wireless network quickly. Had Netflix playing in ten minutes.
Cons Netflix interface is great. Comparable to Playstation 3 which I'm familiar with. Right from the start, however, every few minutes the screen flickers and goes black. The picture comes right back but it's extremely annoying.
Summary Got this at Costco for a good price..40 bucks off promotion with net price of $129.99. After reading about the Netflix issues dating back 6 months or more, I figured Panasonic would have corrected the issues by now. I guess not. Not even bothering with calling Support. I'm returning this after two days and getting a Roku. I can't comment on the BD performance, etc. Primary purchase was for NF streaming. I took a chance and I was wrong. Looking forward to a painless return at Costco. Can't wait to plug in the Roku. I haven't seen one BD player reviewed that doesn't have issues of some kind with internet streaming/interface.
Pros Spent 2 hours trying to link to my wireless network.
Cons Would not recognize my network despite 5 bars signal strength. Shouldn't be this difficult!
Summary I bought this yesterday based on CNET review. Returned it today and replaced it with a ROKU 2 XD since I didn't really need another blue ray player. The ROKU was up and running in 10 minutes with no hassles. Since I couldn't get the Panasonic to work in my system, can't really comment on picture quality etc.
Pros It turns on and plays dvd ok and blurays, never tried netflix cause its built into my new 3d tv.
Cons Have not been able to watch 3d yet or 2d to 3d and over.
Summary Apparently my new $3000.00 3d tv is not compatible with panasonics bluray player or the hdmi cable is not good enough according to some guy from who knows where in tech support who asked me the same questions over. Bottom line im done with it and taking it back.
