Pros: Low Costco price, DiviX.
Cons: No USB. No PAL. Noisy fan. Will not play DiviX video from media card. You are going backwards getting this player - back to recording videos to your media, instead of playing them from USB or media card.
Summary: If you are a movie enthusiast, interested in more than Blockbuster Blu rentals - simply skip this one.

Pros: Great deep color rendering, good quality upconvert on standard dvds, and easy set-up when it works properly
Cons: Image and sound flicker, flash and freeze regardless of the quality or type of cable (tried 3 HDMIs and 2 component). Seems to be a brand/model issue because we've exchanged the BDP twice and had the same issue on all 3 units tried.
Summary: We spent the better part of five days trying to find the problem--buying and trying new and better quality cables, calling AV geek friends, and finally trying to convice technical/customer support that the unit was bad and we needed to return the unit--TWICE.
