"Garbled Audio, poor audio quality on Netflix, Vudu, BB"0.5 starson by frontage
Pros: Good quality playing Blue Ray discs.
Cons: Poor customer service, poor device quality, especially network and network audio. I also had audio issues with a DVD.
Summary: Bought the unit from Best Buy on Feb 11th 2011, brought it home and setup the network using wireless. Tried to watch movies from the internet but got poor quality sound and video so i assumed it was the wireless because my son has his XBOX 360 hooked up through ethernet and Netflix works with no issues. It took me a while to purchase the 100ft cat 6 ethernet cable to ensure Gig connection. After hooking it up with ethernet I am still having poor "Garbled" audio with internet apps. Called customer service who walked me through some settings and it seemed to work for 1 movie. The next internet movie I had the same issue and it doesn't matter if it's Netflix, Blockbuster or Vudu, garbled audio. Called tech support again and they had me reset the player by holding the square button on top of the playe Seemed to work but again for only 1 movie, by the way this makes it so you have to re-download all your apps again and re-activate them. Went to watch another movie with same garbled audio, tried the reset myself but now it is not fixing the issue. I got forwarded to the executive team who at least speaks English. Bottom line I wanted a refund but no such luck, I have to send in the unit and wait for them to fix a $320 unit. I'm sure this will go on for months.
