Pros: Costco has a 90 return policy which will be utilized tomorrow

Cons: Connecting to secured wi-fi is impossible so far. Even Sony tech reps (2) could not get the player to connect to the secured wi-fi. Take the WPA security off, connects with no problem.

Summary: I read all of the previous 97 reviews and saw the reviews ran 50/50, so for $129.00 at Costco, I thought I would take a chance as I am pretty computer and network savvy. I had a wi-fi Magnivox that was a snap to set up, but no Netflex, so I bought the Sony. What a mistake! Two hours trying to get the Sony to log on to the router without success if the router was secured. Tried auto setup as well as manual setup for the secured router with no success. Called Sony Tech Support twice and they could not get it to connect either. Take the security off of the router and the player will connect without a problem. Sony's fix for the problem, "leave the security off", yeah right!

I live in the lightning capitol of the world and with it many power outages. If I have to go through setting up the wi-fi ever time there is a power surge , this Blue Ray player is worthless. The reviews that said the wi-fi on this Sony was terrible they are 100% correct. I especially liked the one from the computer programmer that had the same problem with his wi-fi connection, I have to admit he was a 100% correct.

I can't comment on the Netflex part as I never got that far and I won't because I won't own it that long. Do yourself a big favor and pass on this unit, it may have a great picture, but the rest is absolute junk. If you do take a chance like I did, make sure the store you purchase it from has a return policy with no restocking fee as there is a good chance you may be returning it. CNet was right on with their review on this unit, there are much better players out there.

Taking it back today. Finally got the wi-fi connected and Netflex freezes so bad, it's not worth watching. The router is a N+ duel band high speed DSL, so doubt if the router is the problem. From the Tech's I spoke with at Sony, this is their biggest complaint with this model, poor Netflex quality.
