Pros Not many that I can think of.
Cons Does not work with Netflix, Do not buy. Does not work with Netflix Do not buy. Does not work with Netflix Do not buy.
Pros Easy set up, up and working in no time
Cons Lasted about 5 months, could no longer access Netflix, was told by Geek squad it had a bad NIC they offered to send it out. Haven't seen it since, was told on more than one occasion that the vendor still has it, but no one knows what's going on
Summary If this is Sony's top product, and their warranty is this bad(service anyway)I think I'll look at another brand. Good Bye Sony
Pros PQ, Audio, Features Galore.
Cons No problems at all.
Summary I bought this player as a replacement for my S570. It was easy to set up right out of the box and was up and running fast. This player has internet features galore from Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus you name it it has it. The PQ quality was outstanding as was the Audio and 3D performance was excellent as well. This player is worth every penny and a must have. Another nice job from Sony.
Pros The SONY brand meant good quality at one time, but now, not so much.
Cons Product did not work properly, has slow response, and eventually died completely with a rented DVD inside! SONY's service team was not too worried about it and was more concerned with selling me a refurbished unit.
Summary DO NOT BUY SONY. Product stopped working properly, then stopped working completely. SONY told me to hire someone to get a DVD out that is locked in the device, then package it up send it to them with $131 and they will send me a refurbished device as a replacement. I said that I might buy 2 cheap players for that price at Wal-Mart. "Grace", with a thick foreign accent, who might have been "Peggy", told me that was my choice and ended the call. SONY just narrowed my search for all future tech products by removing themselves from contention.
Pros Many cool applications if they worked.
Cons Machine immediately converts itself from a Blueray player to a paper weight as it is worthless for online use when the machine decides it needs an update to the firmware. This generally takes 5-10 min and fails 98% of the time's attempted.
Summary To add insult to injury tech support didn't even know they released an update, and kept refering me to a link to an older version of their firmware.
